The weekend of 24 and 25 August marked an important milestone in the history of our catenary activities. This was because we delivered our first tram catenary project (Eurocontrol) for STIB.
This project is part of the future extension of the tram line to the airport up to the regional border, just below the bicycle bridge we recently built. To this end, we placed 24 catenary poles and unrolled 1600 metres of contact wire. Saturday it was time for a real ‘Test Tram’, which managed to complete a flawless route. On Monday, tram line 62 was put back into service until the Eurocontrol terminus. Congratulations to the team on achieving this special milestone!
